Esportsfrance.com : What have you been doing since you left Millenium ?
ToD : I don't have Warcraft 3 on my computer anymore, but I recently tried SC2 and played a few games. At first, I tried to play on the European server but it was pretty laggy, and someone offered me an Asian key so as I currently live in China I've started playing on the Asian ladder. The lag is far better but my laptop is quite wheezy, I've put all the graphic details to minimum settings and it's still slow, but it's more or less playable and I can still have fun which is the most important thing.


What are your first impressions ?
Yeah, no more Blademaster but Zergs ! I play Protoss and I really have difficulties versus Zergs, versus Terrans as well but not as much. I am not that strong so I won't risk myself speaking about game balance, as I've not played so much so far.

I play mostly exclusively Koreans and I don't know if they have some kind of replays or strategies website well developed about trendy tactics, but sometimes during six games in a row I play against the same one. Last day, 8 different Terrans opponents did exactly the same rush Marines/SCV, which is really hard to stop by the way.

What race do you play, and why ? Is it related with the Human race in Warcraft 3 ?
I play Protoss. In fact, before I started playing Warcraft 3, I already played Starcraft during a while, at the beginning I played exclusively Zerg in 4vs4 Big Game Hunters.Then I started to play in 2vs2 and in solo, and I tried the other races, did some Random then switched to Terran. Before stopping Warcraft, I played Starcraft again while I was in Korea, as I watched many games on TV, and it made me feel like playing. So I played on ICCUP, where I've reach C rank playing only Terran, thanks to Artosis by the way who helped me a lot with strategies.
I would have logically been playing Terrans on SC2, but I wanted to change, I've always liked playing Protoss and I think it's the race that fits me best if I want to have fun on SC2, so I only played Protoss so far.

What do you like on Protoss ? Why does it fits you ?
The units are pretty cool, I like the Mothership, the Collosus, the Immortal too, I'd really appreciate the Stalkers being useful by the way...haha.

You play on the Asian ladder, what do you think about the level and style of the players ?
It's pretty hard to evaluate the level, but I have the feeling that despite the fact the Koreans only have a few part of their community on SC2, at the moment their level is still really high, I can't even imagine what would happen if the SC1 pro players all played SC2.

Have you played against Check(Paintkiller), Zenio(ZenioWeRRa) or Freedom ?
No, the only well known player I've been playing against at the moment is okku(FoCuS) and it was like my 12th game, he was first of the division and he destroyed me with a Marines/Marauders rush.

How many games have you played ? What do you think about the current balance ? What are the units that shocked you ?
About sixty I think? As I said I don't think I played enough to tell anything on it, but I have hard difficulties versus Zergs. The roaches, mutalisks and banelings have shocked me pretty much.

Do you think you have some kind of future on this game ?
If by future you mean a hypothetical career, no I don't think so. Training 24/7 during months on a video game isn't something I see myself doing again. However until these days, I have had some fun playing and I have the intention to keep playing occasionally. I am quite competitive and I don't like to loose so I've already started to talk about strategies with some of the best europeans players such as DeMusliM, HasuObs, NightEnd and they also gave me some replays.
The ladder system is significantly vague with lots of divisions but I'll try to keep progressing at least enough to see what I level I can reach =)

Is Starcraft 2 really awaited in China ? Few players would have beta keys.
I think so. It's hard to get an idea because I don't have so much friends talking about it, I know that xiaOt is playing but that's all. What's nice is that even if the server is in Korea, the lag in China on battle.net is strongly inferior compared to Warcraft 3. So the chinese will probably be able to play comfortably, which could be extremely interesting, contrary to the isolation on wc3 between China and Korea due to connection issues.

Do you know if the world elites such as Sky, TeD Infi and others plan to play or are they going to stay on Warcraft 3 for a while ?
I know that at the moment they're playing Warcraft 3, but I don't have any idea about their switch to SC2, I rarely talk to them.

What are the advantages of a Warcraft gamer on Starcraft 2 compared to BW players, and conversely according to you ?
I think the real advantage for Warcraft players is the gameplay which is almost the same except few things. For example the probes rally points who directly collect minerals, the fact that you can group several buildings together, or just need two groups to select your entire army. For Stacraft players, it's the speed, which is still there, thanks to the Chronoboost, the Queens and the Mule, you need to be extremely fast at Starcraft 2 as well.

Do you think that the French scene will be as skilled as at the beginning of BW or WC3 ?
I haven't seen any french replays until now, so I don't have any idea about their level but I think I've seen some old SC & W3 players well ranked on the european ladder, so I don't see why it wouldn't be the same. France used to be a really strong at SC & W3 so there's no reason.
